Privacy Policy
Last updated 2026-04-25.
Short version: we collect as little as possible, we don't sell or share your data, and we don't run third-party advertising trackers. Long version below.
What we collect
- Newsletter email. If you subscribe to our newsletter on Substack, your email is collected and stored by Substack. We do not maintain a separate email list on this site. See Substack's privacy policy for how they handle subscriber data.
- Anonymous analytics. We use Plausible, a privacy-respecting analytics product that does not use cookies and does not collect personal information. See their data policy.
- Server logs. Our host (Cloudflare) keeps standard request logs (IP, user agent, URL) for security and abuse prevention. Logs are not used to build profiles of visitors.
- Email correspondence. If you email us, we keep that email until it's no longer relevant to whatever we discussed.
What we don't collect
- No third-party advertising trackers.
- No social media tracking pixels (Meta, X, LinkedIn, etc.).
- No data brokers, retargeting, or affiliate-network cookies dropped on your machine without your interaction.
- No cross-site tracking of any kind.
Partner links
When you click through to a partner provider listed on our site, that partner's own cookies and tracking apply on their site. We may receive a small attribution token (usually anonymous) so the partner can credit the referral. We do not receive or store your activity on the partner's site. See our disclosure policy for the full picture of how partnerships work.
Your rights
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any issue. To delete email correspondence or any other data we may have on you, email [email protected]. EU/UK and California residents have rights under GDPR and CCPA respectively; we honor them regardless of where you live.
Children
This site is not intended for and does not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes
If we materially change this policy, we'll update the date above and note the change in the next newsletter.
